An introduction and overview of the Open Geospatial Consortium’s Discrete Global Grid Systems (DGGS) Abstract Specification. Linkages will be made between the OGC DGGS AS and the ISO 19000 series of standards.
This presentation will discuss real-world applications and provide examples of DGGS in action. Geoscience Australia intend to present outputs from a pilot DGGS implementation as well as highlighting examples from other organisations starting to apply DGGS. It is intended to include an update on international initiatives related to DGGS e.g. INSPIRE/Copernicus, UN-GGIM, etc.
